Arjen Robben says he will leave Bayern Munich at season’s end

Robben and Ribery

Netherlands legend Arjen Robben has confirmed he will leave Bayern Munich after a decade of glittering success with the Bundesliga giants.

In his club's 1-1 draw against FC Augsburg, the Dutchman managed to open the scoring with the most Arjen Robben goal of all time.

The 27-year-old is now sidelined through injury and has struggled to reproduce his form from last season as the Bavarian giants have struggled as a collective. I feel very good right now.

"I can say that this is my a year ago and it is good like that", said Robben, who added that he was not retiring.

In that time, the Dutch worldwide won seven Bundesliga titles, five DFL-Supercups, four DFB-Pokal winners medals, one Champions League winners medals and one UEFA Super Cup, while establishing himself as one of the deadliest wingers in world football.

He scored the first two stunning goals in last Tuesday's 5-1 thrashing of Benfica which confirmed Bayern's place in the last 16 of the Champions League.

"I'd like to stay because I feel the love of the fans", he said, as reported by SportBild. During his global career, Robben and the Oranje lost the 2010 World Cup Final to Spain and came in third in the 2014 edition of the tournament behind Lionel Messi's Argentina and Philip Lahm's Germany.

Speaking during the traditional visits by players to the Bayern supporters clubs, James admitted that things had changed since the summer.

Bayern Munich's chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge hopes that Arjen Robben will be seen off with another career title. Father time is undefeated, and for Robben it is now time to ride off into the sunset.
