Anthem Closed Alpha Sign-Ups Begin; Test Starts Very Soon

The Bio Ware crew hard at work

Those who are interested in being invited to the closed alpha are told to go over to the EA Community Playtesting site and register there.

"It's an opportunity for you to check out Anthem, but we'll also be adjusting things like matchmaking and server load on the fly", BioWare notes.

After the initial Closed Alpha run, EA also plans to expand its testing with a couple of pre launch demos leading up to the final release of Anthem, with the first starting on February 1, 2019.

During the Alpha Test Session, players will be able to test all four types of Javelin suits (Interceptor, Ranger, Colossus, or Storm). That means, barring any leaks, you shouldn't expect to see players sharing any thoughts, screenshots, or videos from the alpha test. There will be multiple sessions which participants can partake in, but you are limited to only one device for the alpha, whether its Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC. You will need to sign in with your EA account or make one if you don't have one. If you don't get in, your name will be placed on a waiting list. You can learn much more about this at the EA Anthem homepage.

Approved playtesters will receive an email with a download link prior to the start of the test, so you can get the client downloaded and installed before the action begins.
