Fossil's latest Wear OS smartwatch adds longer battery life for $255

Fossil launches Fossil Sport, a Wear OS smartwatch running the Snapdragon 3100 - GSMArena.com news

Compared to nearly all of Fossil's previous Wear OS efforts, the aptly named Sport is focused less on traditional style and more on modern functionality.

Fossil is announcing a new addition to its lineup of wearables today, the Fossil Sport - a Wear OS smartwatch that the company says is its lightest, among its most colorful to date and also sports the newest wearable chipset from Qualcomm. But the Sport runs on the new 3100 SoC, which should provide noticeable improvements in battery life and performance. Additionally, the Fossil Sport also features a new battery-saving mode; enhanced ambient mode; and integrated heart rate, NFC and Global Positioning System capabilities. Meanwhile, the Fossil Sport launches with six colorways, two case sizes (41 and 43 mm), plus a variety of strap options. The watch can track your heart rate and record runs and workouts with its altimeter, accelerometer, and gyroscope sensors and Global Positioning System functionality. It has a nylon and aluminium casing and silicon bands in 18mm and 22mm - there's 28 band and bracelet styles available for customisation too. It's also running the revamped Wear OS that just started rolling out in September.

There's also a good reason why the Fossil Sport is 55 bucks pricier than the Fitbit Versa.
