The woman police say drove her auto through a Brooklyn crosswalk and killed a 1-year-old and 4-year-old child, leaving several others injured, has been found dead in her Staten Island home.

Police were called to her Staten Island address for a wellness check after a friend said she had not heard from her. Officers found Bruns' body and evidence she had ingested pills, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. She claimed she had a seizure during the crash.

Blumemstein, who is a Broadway actress, survived but her unborn baby died as a result of her injuries.

Prosecutors say doctors had told Bruns not to drive after she had a previous medical problem. She had been due back in court November 20.

Bruns faced 15 years in jail after being charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, reckless endangerment, and assault following the accident in March.

Bruns was freed on $75,000 bond in September.

She died eight months after running over and killing five year-old Abigail Blumenstein and 20 month-old Joshua Lew at a Brooklyn crosswalk in March, CBS2 reported.

Blumenstein, who goes by the stage name Ruthie Ann Miles, won a featured actress Tony in 2015 for her role as Lady Thiang in a revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's 'The King and I'. A one-year-old child was also killed in the horrific crash. And in September 2017, she struck a pedestrian in Long Island City, after which the NYPD reportedly failed to investigate the incident.

She had more than 10 traffic violations up to 2016, including speeding and running red lights.
