Bendgate 2: 2018 iPad Pro Can Apparently Bend Easily

Getting the Apple Air Pods on sale is super rare which is why we were so excited for this Black Friday deal

Available in 11-inch and 12.9-inch screen sizes, the iPad Pro (2018) comes with some really nifty features, including a super-fast A12X Bionic chipset, and a redesigned Apple Pencil that can now charge wirelessly.

The most interesting, and hurtful, part though is the actual bend test.

But the tablet can be bent without much effort, as you'll see in the clip.

The YouTuber then proceeds to scratching the entire chassis of iPad Pro using a metal blade, with the body getting scratches all around, but still remaining intact.

The extent to which you can bend an Apple gadget before it breaks dates back to 2014, when the company released the iPhone 6 Plus. I do agree that the no one is going to sit with iPad in the back pocket but there's a chance that they might sit on the tablet by accident.

Just days after the formal debut of the iPad Pro (2018) in India, the latest iPad model has now been put through a durability test under which its display panel and build quality have been tested. Now, add to that the £89 for the Apple Pencil and the £199 for the Smart Keyboard Folio and you've got a grand total of £2,157. In the video (embedded below), Nelson starts off by testing the iPad Pro's display for scratch resistance using multiple picks conforming to Mohs hardness scale.

It's simple physics that a large 10-inch tablet is going to be easier to snap than a small 5-inch phone, but thanks to a YouTube bend test and several user complaints it seems the new iPad Pros might be a little more prone to bending than anyone would like.

After all, you can't have light and thin devices with huge surface areas and not expect them to bend.
