Top White House Staffers Get Into 'Profanity-Laced' Shouting Match

Trump to migrants Make your nations great again

U.S. President Donald Trump's chief of staff, John Kelly, and national security adviser, John Bolton, got in a heated argument Thursday outside the Oval Office, according to multiple sources, CNN and Bloomberg report.

It wasn't immediately clear what the chief of staff, John Kelly, and the national security adviser, John Bolton, were arguing about.

The obscenity-laced shouting match between the two men was over the recent surge in illegal border crossings, according to CNN.

Kelly and Bolton have been feuding over the issue for days, but it broke into a full-fledged brawl on Thursday when Trump sided with Bolton.

While it's unclear whether Trump heard them, Bloomberg's sources said the president "is aware" of the fight.

Trump threatened on Thursday to deploy the military and close the southern USA border as Hondurans and Salvadorans joined thousands of migrants in Guatemala hoping to travel north.

The fact that Trump backed Bolton only infuriated Kelly even more, the report said. However, a White House official did say that tempers had since cooled and neither men are going to leave.
