Missing Wisconsin girl, 13, in danger after parents found dead: Sheriff

13-Year-Old Girl Missing In Wisconsin After Parents Found Dead

Fitzgerald stated that gunshots are involved in the case, but he's not ready to rule how Closs' parents died.

BARRON, Wis. (WEAU)-Two people are found dead in their Barron County home and their 13-year-old daughter is believed to be missing and endangered. He said they found the bodies of Jayme's parents, who were later identified as 56-year-old James Closs and his 46-year-old wife, Denise Closs.

Sheriff Fitzgerald has refused to confirm that James and Denise Closs were shot dead, and why he is certain Jayme is not a runaway, for fear of compromising his investigation. The alert doesn't include a description of a suspect or vehicle.

During the 911 call, the dispatcher heard a disturbance in the background but no one spoke directly to the dispatcher, Fitzgerald said. Sheriff Fitzgerald says a cause of death could be released as soon as Tuesday after autopsies are complete.

Police received a call Tuesday morning from someone who claimed to have seen a 13-year-old Wisconsin girl whose parents were found murdered in their Wisconsin home. He didn't release their names. Anyone with information is asked to contact the tip line at 1-855-744-3879. Fitzgerald says it's not known who made the call.

The sheriff says the girl is missing and in danger and is not a suspect in her parents' deaths.

Officers also were at Jayme's middle school talking with her friends and acquaintances, hoping to develop some leads, officials said.

Fitzgerald said Jayme was last seen on Sunday afternoon where she attended a family gathering.

Police in Miami say there was a possible sighting of Jayme there Monday in a black Ford Explorer with a Wisconsin plate. Even the sheriff said they're working with very little information.

Police believe she may have been kidnapped at gunpoint.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing Barron County teen whose parents were found dead Monday morning in Barron County.

The Barron County sheriff's office did not respond to Fox News' request for information.

"At the end of the day, I want a 13-year-old here safe and sound".

The teenager is described as 5-feet tall, 100 pounds with strawberry blond hair and green eyes.
