Days Gone Delayed Two Months To April 2019

PlayStation Plus November 2018 predictions

Days Gone uses Unreal Engine 4 to craft a dynamic open world with day and night cycle. Microsoft's oft-delayed Crackdown 3 is also scheduled for a February 2019 release on Xbox One, but a specific date hasn't been announced. The folks behind each game continue to churn away on them, but Sony isn't quite ready to announce release dates. The company cites moving it away from a crowded February window to give the game further polish. With games such as Anthem, Metro Exodus, Crackdown 3, and Trials Rising all releasing in the same month, Bend Studio have made a decision to take the time to further polish the game.

This is the game's second delay following an announcement last March by Sony Bend that it wouldn't be hitting in 2018 as previously stated by Sony Worldwide Studio president, Shuhei Yoshida. In a blog post detailing the statuses of upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusives, Sony revealed today that has been hit by a two-month delay.

While the title was originally meant to launch on February 22, 2019, Bend stated that the shift in release date was due to the month already being crowded with other games.

Following this year's E3, next February started to fill up as well. Had Sony not delayed the game to April it would have released on the same date as EA's Anthem and Deep Silver's Metro Exodus. Hopefully, the added amount of time will help it be even better come April. Are you eager to get your hands on Bend Studio's latest? First, Deracine comes out on November 6th, 2018.

You may be wondering, what about all those insane big titles we've been seeing at Sony's E3 conferences?

Days Gone is described as an "open-world action game set in the high-desert of the Pacific Northwest". "When that news is available, rest assured - you'll be the first to know!"
