Burger King says its Halloween 'Nightmare King' burger can induce nightmares

Burger King is releasing a green burger stuffed with chicken beef and bacon just in time for Halloween

The Nightmare King, announced by the fast food chain on Monday, features a green bun, a quarter-pound of beef, a crispy chicken fillet, melted American cheese, thick-cut bacon, mayonnaise and onions on a glazed green sesame seed bun, according to PEOPLE. The Nightmare King will be available at participating Burger Kings through November 1.

The "Nightmare King" isn't just a seasonal name thrown on Burger King's latest burger, which will be introduced just ahead of Halloween. And as if a bun that looks like it's made entirely of masticated spinach molded together and dried isn't scary enough, BK also did a study on the effects the Nightmare Burger might have on those who consume it.

For a past Halloween creation, Burger King released a Halloween Whopper with a black bun. Um, though there's nothing wrong with layering beef, fried chicken, bacon, and cheese onto a sandwich, do you really need a study to determine if that combo will muck up your sleep a bit? This is in line with the theory that eating a heavy meal before bed raises your metabolism and body temperature, causing more brain activity and seemingly leading to an increased chance of nightmares. "But, after eating the Nightmare King, the data obtained from the study indicated that the incidence of nightmares increased by 3.5 times".

Another participant said aliens started attacking the boat he was on during his bad dream. Yes the sandwich "was able to induce more nightmares than usual" according to Food & Wine.

"Someone. transformed into the figure of a snake", reported one of the study's subjects when asked about her dream. A group of doctors and scientists identified whether the individuals had vivid dreams.
