30 injured when floor collapses at college party

Thirty people were hurt after a floor collapsed during a house party early Sunday.

It appears as many as 30 people were injured and taken to the hospital for various injuries.

Dixon said there is no knowledge of any life threatening injuries. "It was really bad".

Partygoers screamed, and those who didn't fall stood on portions of the first floor that remained.

The incident occurred just after midnight Saturday into early Sunday at the clubhouse of the Woodlands of Clemson apartment complex, Woodlands Property Management President Tal Slann said.

Video posted to social media shows the moment the floor collapses, sending dozens of party-goers plummeting into the basement.

The floor collapse occurred in a clubhouse unit that had been leased for a private party. He said he could not comment on whether there was a limit on the number of people who were supposed to use the clubhouse at one time. I can tell you there was a floor collapse.

Dixon said no individuals were entrapped.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
