A third quoted his alter ego: "Could you *BE* more ill?"

'And I'm looking at him and he's high out of his mind, and he hadn't showered in like [nine] days or something and the guy has just superglued his hands to his legs, and he wants me to unstick him, and I have no idea, because I've never dealt with somebody whose superglued their hands to their legs'.

We knew Matthew Perry was going through some health problems, but three MONTHS in a hospital bed?!

'He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals'.

Perry has been open with his substance abuse - including a previous Vicodin addiction and alcohol - in the past and has since began using his voice to encourage others get treatment.

"I'm an award-winning alcoholic", Perry told The Hollywood Reporter.

A gastrointestinal perforation can be a life-threatening issue, so on the optimistic side, it's obviously imperative Perry got it taken care of... but the hospital recovery time.

Perry found fame in the 1990s while starring as Chandler Bing in classic United States sitcom Friends.
