Brazil worldwide Willian, who featured for the Selecao at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russian Federation, has revealed that he found it hard to play under previous Blues boss Antonio Conte.

Chelsea winger Willian admits there was "no chance" of him staying at the club if Antonio Conte remained at the Premier League side this season.

Willian was not satisfied regarding Antonio Conte's coaching.

The France star volleyed in the opener to help new boss Maurizio Sarri commence his debut Premier League season with a 3-0 win at Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Manchester United and Barcelona were both interested signing the 29-year-old this summer after news emerged of a rift between the Willian and Conte.

"That's why he (Sarri) talked about "fun" football. This is what we will try to do this season".

The Italian also ordered Chelsea's players to stay at a hotel in west London the night before their games at Stamford Bridge, but it was a rule which did not go down well with the squad.

Willian eventually chose to remain with the Blues after Conte was replaced by compatriot Maurizio Sarri in July.

"It will require a lot of sacrifice from us all, so that is why I have to continue moving forward as a player".

"Now the system is something different, especially the way we play now", Kante told the Mirror.

It's also reported that Sarri has loosened rules on players' diets in the build-up to games because Conte's strict nutrition rules didn't endear himself to many at the club.
