The duo's confirmation of engagement sent social media into a frenzy with their friends pouring in congratulations. Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner also posted an adorable message for Priyanka and proved how these two will make excellent sisters-in-law.

"First I'm blessed with an incredible future brother-in-law, and now such an attractive, inside and out, future sister-in-law. I love you both Nick Jonas", she posted. Turner is engaged to Nick's older brother, Joe Jonas and Nick is very excited to have her in their family.

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta also took to Twitter to congratulate the couple. Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have previously worked together in Bajirao Mastani while Ranveer and Priyanka also starred in Dil Dhadakne Do.

A source told DNA, "Deepika has always been supportive of Priyanka and she would have definitely gone to wish her if she was invited".

Questioning the same, the source said who does that and why would one invite one half of a couple and leave out the other one.

The couple shared several identical photos from the ceremony on their respective Instagram pages, with Jonas calling Chopra the "future Mrs Jonas". The Quantico TV series star has been receiving love and wishes from all around the world for such a huge step in her life.

The parents of the future bride and groom were there to celebrate the major milestone. Jonas wore a patterned shirt and dark trousers. But amid all the celebrations, what Priyanka will miss the most is the presence of her father, Ashok Chopra.

Fellow actress Alia Bhatt was in attendance at the engagement party.
