Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: 'I'm focused on Lazio'

United planning Milinkovic-Savic bid

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has assured Lazio fans he is entirely focused on the new season with the club, despite persistent rumours he is set to depart the Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic insists that he is fully focused on staying at the Serie A club amid continued speculation over his future.

Reports linking United to the Serbian follow claims that Paul Pogba could be on the move this summer. Manager Jose Mourinho has been left frustrated with the lack of signings and is desperate to add more players to his roster before the transfer window closes.

The Serbian midfielder enjoyed a fine World Cup in Russian Federation for his nation and has caught the eye of several clubs, including Serie A rivals Inter and Milan, along with the Premier League duo of Manchester United and Chelsea. The Serbian midfielder has developed into one of the most exciting midfielders in the game, since moving to Lazio back in 2015 from Belgian side Genk. He made his Serbia debut in 2017 and represented his nation at this summer's World Cup in Russian Federation.

Milinkovic-Savic has since been linked with Chelsea and Juventus, while Real Madrid and Barcelona could yet sign him with the La Liga transfer window open until August 31.

"Of course, I do not push to sell him but if you ask me how much he is worth then I remember that a year ago, August 29, I refused a €110 million offer".

Mino Raiola reportedly delivered a player-plus-cash proposal from Barca to United bosses on Monday, having jetted in to Manchester to try and secure a departure. The 23-year old is also wanted by Italian champions Juventus, who have already broken the bank once this summer, to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
