Intel 9th Gen Processors Said To Launch On October 1st

Core i9-9900K and i7-9700K turbo clocks revealed - 4.7 GHz with all eight cores

The Core i9-9900K has a base clock of 3.6 GHz, which can be boosted up to 5.0GHz in single and dual cores.

Wccftech reports that Intel's new Core i9, Core i7, and Core i5 processors will be launched on October 1st and branded as the company's 9th generation chips.

Highly anticipated: Rumors surrounding the release dates of Intel's 9th generation of processors have been swirling around for some time now. Among the initial releases is the hugely anticipated Core i9-9900K. These three unlocked processors, however, are slated to be launched on October 1. The information, if true and correct, highlights encouraging specifications for the upcoming Intel Core i9-9900K and i7-9700K processors. The upcoming chip is said to include 16MB of L3 cache and Intel's UHD 620 graphics. To me this slide looks a bit dodgy as the Trademark/Family name row says that the i7-9700K is part of the Intel Core 17 family. Also really interesting, it'll do a boost up to 4.7 GHz on all cores. Z390 chipset motherboards are set to appear from the major motherboard manufacturers, but Asus, ASRock, MSI, and Gigabyte have already confirmed 9th gen Core chips will be supported on existing 300 series motherboards. It would clock in at 3.6 Ghz and could be boosted up to 4.6 Ghz with all cores running or 4.9 Ghz.

The i7 and i5 versions will cost around $350 and $250, respectively, according to the report, although you can expect even cheaper prices for specific i5 and i3 variations of Intel's 9th generation.
