Ingraham Faces Backlash From Cuomo on Demographic Comments

Laura Ingraham Racially Attacks Legal Immigration on Live TV

On Wednesday night, Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham performed a monologue on her show that has been condemned for its resonance with the language of white supremacy.

More than six of every 10 in that group, 62 percent, also believe that immigrants to the United States pose a threat to American culture.

Back in June, Ingraham took heat for comparing President Trump's immigration detainment camps for children to "summer camps".

"In some parts of the country, it does seem like the America that we know and love doesn't exist anymore".

Ingraham decried "massive demographic changes" that have been "foisted" on Americans. "And you know who agrees with me?"

Cuomo didn't shy away from the topic of illegal immigration, but argued that Ingraham's comments went beyond arguing against the means of illegal entry.

"I see zero difference between what Laura Ingraham is saying on mainstream cable and what the Nazi was saying in front of his house", Jones said. "It's the "who" for them, not just the 'how.'" Cuomo's grandparents were immigrants, he said, and he refuses to let immigrants "be discounted as some abhorrent aspect of a pure place".

"Furthermore as I have said repeatedly on this show, merit-based immigration does wonders for our country's economy, our way of life, and how we define our country", she added. "She's complaining that people who come to America from other countries-even legally-are making this country unrecognizable to her", and, more to the point, to Fox's largely white, older viewers. The tweet, as reported by The Hill, was later deleted.
