‘Blade Runner’ Star Sean Young Wanted for Questioning by NYPD

TMZ: NYPD Seeking Sean Young of Blade Runner

Young, 58, is accused of stealing Apple laptops and video production gear from a business in Astoria, Queens on Thursday, according to Page Six.

The sources said employees from the business identified Young and a male accomplice through video surveillance that caught them breaking in and subsequently stealing laptops and video production software from the unidentified establishment.

"Blade Runner" actress Sean Young is wanted by NYPD for questioning about a burglary that occurred in Queens, New York, on Thursday, TMZ reports. The worth of the stolen items reportedly totals $12,000. She has entered rehab twice and agreed to be a patient on VH1's "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew".

According to TMZ, the actress worked at the store until she was sacked a few months ago.

After she reportedly had a brief romance with actor James Woods, Young allegedly harassed by sending him hate mail and pictures of corpses, according to a 1989 People story.

She was originally cast as Vicki Vale in Tim Burton's first Batman movie, but after being injured during film rehearsals she was replaced with Kim Basinger. "I did another show with her a few years ago called Jug Face, and I really like Lauren". She denied the allegations and the suit was settled out of court.

In recent years, however, Young had seemed to be doing well, as she'd consistently snagged acting gigs. She recently appeared in The Alienist on U.S. television network TNT.

Let's just hope that, despite whatever may be going on, Young cooperates with police, and maybe in time she can put the whole situation behind her.
