Woolworths said that recall was a precaution after a global recall was issued by the Hungarian Food Safety Agency.
Woolworths is in the process of recalling its frozen savoury rice mix product, the company said on Tuesday.
Yes, even the Waitrose Essential Supersweet Sweetcorn is not immune from being called back in, with this outbreak revealing that the expensive variety is therefore bagged up in the same factory that produces Lidl Frozen Green Grocer Supersweet Corn, also recalled.
The European outbreak of listeria in corn and possibly other frozen vegetables has been ongoing since 2015, according to the European Food Safety Authority.
Aldi is carrying most of the potentially listeria-infected products.
The notice on the Food Standards Agency states that although the bacteria can be killed through cooking, sweetcorn can be eaten raw and could be a potential threat.

The outbreak was linked to Enterprise facilities in Polokwane and Germiston which produced cold meats, including Woolworths' beloved Salami sticks.
Listeriosis starts with flu-like symptoms such as fever, chills, muscle aches, nausea, and sometimes diarrhoea.
"To verify the safety of our food products, we implement additional monitoring where we independently have our food products tested randomly", the retailer said.
Woolworths said it proactively manages and prevents microbial contamination of food, and has very strict protocols in place.
"We voluntarily withdrew one batch of the product on Friday from all our Countdown, SuperValue and FreshChoice stores and today we recalled all batches of it just to be on the safe side".
