Motorola to make mysterious ‘big announcement’ at its Chicago HQ in August

Motorola

It could be a new phone, like the Motorola One / Motorola One Power that leaked recently. But, it looks like there is also another similar smartphone launching soon, named the Motorola One. The dual cameras on the Motorola One appear to be separated instead of being housed inside a single module like on the One Power.

AndroidHeadlines has been told the Motorola One is a smaller phone when compared to the Motorola One Power.

Unfortunately, as these are leaked press renders, it's hard to identify other small differences.

The Motorola One and Motorola One Power will be different in many ways.

Excited for something "big" from Moto?

As you can see from the photo below, the One and the One Power are nearly identical minus several small touches. There is a possibility that One Power may offer longer battery performance.

The star of the show could be Android One though. Likewise, the back panel is once again nearly identical to the Motorola One Power, due to the same Motorola logo (which may double as a fingerprint sensor), and a dual rear camera setup in the top-left corner. Meanwhile, the Motorola One seems to have a glass or a glossy finish for its back, as pointed out by 9To5Google. In a statement issued to The Verge, the company says the news will "change the way people use and interact with their phones".

On the camera front, the smartphone will feature dual-camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear, and it is embedded within the Batwing logo, which is ideal placement. That's a smartphone with a pair of cameras at its back and a full-screen display up front (with a notch, of course). By saying design we mean the notched display. As both the Motorola One Power and the Motorola One are phones that come running on Google's One operating system. Do let us know via the comments section.
