Florida Man Without Arms Charged With Using Scissors To Stab Tourist

Crenshaw told officer he pulled a pair of scissors from his suitcase with his feet and stabbed the victim the report states

A homeless, armless artist known for using his feet to paint pictures on Miami Beach is accused of stabbing a tourist from Chicago. The Miami New Times reported Crenshaw has been arrested several times for trespassing, disorderly intoxication and battering police, among other things.

Florida native Jonathan Crenshaw stabbed a 22-year-old Chicago man twice with the scissors before running away, according to the Miami Beach Police Department report on Crenshaw's arrest early on Tuesday.

Barrientos described the attacker to police as a homeless man with no arms.

According to the arrest report, Crenshaw claims he was lying down when Coronado approached him and hit him in the head.

Crenshaw was booked on a charge of aggravated battery.

But a female friend who was traveling with Coronado told a different story.

Mr Coronado told investigators he had stopped to ask Crenshaw for directions before he jumped up and stabbed him.

Coronado was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries.

An arm-less, popular street artist was arrested for stabbing a tourist in Miami, Florida. Crenshaw told officers he was defending himself.

Crenshaw has an extensive criminal past, including battery of law enforcement officers, according to local police.

Crenshaw has a court date on July 18; his bond has been set at $7,500.
