Skyrim for Alexa is legit, can be downloaded right now

Keegan Michael Key is a big Skyrim on Alexa fan Bethesda

Skyrim has been ported to many devices and Bethesda took a few minutes out during their E3 show to make a nice little joke about it, announcing Skyrim for Alexa, pagers, and fridges. Amazon Alexa owners have since realized the game does exist and can be played right now on the device.

Bethesda has had a busy E3 2018, announcing Elder Scrolls VI, showing off what Fallout 76 is actually going to look like and also revealing some new Doom Eternal and Wolfenstein VR action and new IP Starfield.

It turns out, though, Skyrim: Very Special Edition is a very real thing.

It's becoming a bit of a running gag that Bethesda will put Skyrim on anything as it continues to milk the popular game for all it's worth.

The description for the app details that it is "the version of Skyrim you never saw coming" and that it has "finally arrived on the platform you never asked for". And yes, some people love it so much they'll pretend that's what it is. "Download the skill, change your language to US". Hopefully we can avoid any arrows to the knees this time around. Skyrim: Very Special Edition is basically a choose your own adventure game set in Skyrim.

Amazon definitely isn't taking this too seriously. and for good reason.
