Rose McGowan Indicted By Grand Jury In Cocaine Possession Case!

Rose McGowan has officially been indicted by a grand jury in her cocaine possession case.

The charges stem from an incident on January 20, 2017, when McGowan's wallet and two bags were allegedly found by a cleaning crew on a United airliner at Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C., according to the New York Daily News.

If convicted, Rose can face up to a year in the slammer. She later pleaded not guilty to the charge. The airport found two bags of cocaine inside.

McGowan, who has been in the spotlight for coming forward to accuse Harvey Weinstein of raping her, was arrested in November, 10 months after her flight from Los Angeles to DC.

Her attorney, Jim Hundley, did not comment on the indictment on Monday.

In a statement, her attorney, Jose Baez, told the celebrity news site, "Rose steadfastly maintains her innocence. I assure you, this selective prosecution will be met with a strong defense".

After McGowan's tweets, Weinstein hired several private security agencies, one operated by veterans of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad, to block women from reporting that he allegedly sexually assaulted or harassed them, according to the New Yorker. Weinstein has denied all the accusations.

Weinstein has since been arrested on charges of rape, committing a criminal sex act, sexual abuse and sexual misconduct in NY for which has pled not guilty.
