Liverpool target Alisson Becker wants future resolved before World Cup starts

Alisson

Speaking after Brazil 3-0 victory over Austria on Sunday evening, Alisson wants to make a decision before the weekend otherwise it will have to wait until after the World Cup.

Liverpool FC appear to have suffered a fresh blow in their pursuit of goalkeeper Alisson Becker after it was claimed that he is happy at AS Roma. To be honest, I've left it all in the hands of my agents.

Alisson shone last season between the sticks for Roma and has been eyed by Liverpool, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the current transfer window. "We'll see if anything happens this week".

"I believe that it will all be resolved before the start of the World Cup, or at least that is what I hope".

It could be, however, that Karius is being granted another chance and Liverpool rescinding interest in Alisson is Klopp's way of showing his faith in his goalkeeper.

Alisson is very happy at Roma and the rumours of a transfer are just rumours.

The 25-year-old is widely expected to leave Roma this summer with Real Madrid a potential target, and if he has a good tournament with Brazil at the World Cup, his fee could rise even higher which may definitely end any lingering interest the Anfield side have of capturing him.

The Roma custodian wants his future sorted out before the start of the World Cup, enabling him to give Brazil his fullest commitment and concentration. The Mirror's David Maddock reports on Monday evening that Liverpool "will step up their efforts to land Shaqiri when he returns from the World Cup, after receiving initial encouragement".
