Gal Gadot reveals first clear look at Wonder Woman in '1984' sequel

Gal Gadot and Chris Pine can’t stop giggling on ‘Wonder Woman’ set

Gal Gadot posted the above photo to Twitter early Saturday morning.

Filming on the highly anticipated "Wonder Woman" sequel has officially begun, and some just-released photos reveal some important information about the new movie!

The new picture of Gal Gadot in the iconic costume doesn't shed any light on the plot of Wonder Woman 1984, but that's not the point.

Gal Gadot has given fans a sneak peek of Wonder Woman 1984, the eagerly-awaited upcoming sequel to her hit superhero epic Wonder Woman.

Now the sequel, "Wonder Woman 1984", is in production with a planned release late next year.

Steve Trevor is coming back for "Wonder Woman 2" and we're not screaming, you're screaming. Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) is also cast in a "pivotal role".

The first Wonder Woman movie was the biggest success that the DCEU has seen thus far, shocking almost everybody, including Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada are the executive producers. We've gotten a couple official shots from set already, including one of Diana Prince herself out of costume as well as one very surprising image of the first film's love interest, Steve Trevor, who we thought died at the end of that movie. Oscar-nominated editor Richard Pearson (United 93) will cut the film.

Directed by Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal, Wonder Woman 1984 is slated to hit theaters on November 1, 2019.
