First Man trailer: Ryan Gosling la la lands on the moon

First Man

The trailer debuted on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' showing Gosling as Armstrong and the film follows his training to man the Apollo 11 spaceflight.

As the poster shows, Claire Foy is billed alongside Gosling, playing Neil's wife, Janet Armstrong.

The first trailer has been released for a Neil Armstrong biopic titled appropriately "First Man". We see Armstrong getting off the space capsule to earn the title of 'First Man on the Moon'. Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Jason Clarke and Brian d'Arcy James are also part of the cast, among others. The first trailer is online.

Chazelle (Whiplash) and Gosling (Blade Runner 2049) are teaming up again following the smashing success of the 2016 musical La La Land for the film based on James Hansen's biography "First Man: A Life Of Neil A. Armstrong".

The film focuses on the lead-up to and events of that fateful event, chronicling Armstrong's life from the early 60s up until his historic achievement.

In the amusing interview, Ryan appeared to be annoyed by the questions that Jimmy was asking. Speaking to another reporter, Armstrong mentioned that down on Earth you look up and don't think too much about the moon. Mowgli, Aviron's Serenity and Annapurna's Where'd You Go, Bernadette? In a heartbreaking scene, his son asks Armstrong if he will be coming back, to which he replies that there were risks, but that they have every intention of returning. The film lands in theaters on October 12.
