Federal Bureau of Investigation agent who shot club patron while breakdancing charged with assault

Bishop is now being held at a Denver detention centre. His handgun fell from his holster onto the dance floor and it discharged as Bishop picked it up. He jumps up, arching his back and swinging his arms above his head.

The video shows the off-duty agent reaching for the gun and allegedly accidentally firing the weapon, hitting another patron in the leg. He then walks off the dance floor with his hands up. He was taken to Denver Police Department headquarters and later released to an Federal Bureau of Investigation supervisor.

Bishop turned himself in to the Denver Sheriff Department on Tuesday morning after a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to Denver police.

"The FBI will continue to fully cooperate with the Denver Police Department and the Denver District Attorney's Office as this matter proceeds through the judicial process", Sanders said.

Bishop pounced on the weapon but accidentally squeezed off a single round.

The man who was shot was identified as Thomas Reddington and he said in an interview that he was able to laugh at the situation. "Then I looked down at my leg and see some brown residue".

"It is shocking that the only shooting to ever occur at our establishment came about as a result of an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent entering our distillery tasting room carrying a loaded firearm without our knowledge, in violation of our rules", the posting said.
