E3 2018: Fire Emblem Three Houses Announced For Switch

Nintendo

Fire Emblem Three Houses also marks the first entry in the series to get released on a home console since Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, released on Nintendo Wii back in 2007. "This turn-based tactical RPG will put new strategic twists on battling, with formations of troops supporting individual units on the battlefield".

Nintendo showed off the Switch debut for Fire Emblem during its Electronic Entertainment Expo event today in Los Angeles.

Basically it sounds like the game will be pretty much the same Fire Emblem that many gamers have come to know and love over the years. It also showed a rich cast of characters battling with some handsome turn-based combat and attack animations.

Fire Emblem was an important franchise for the 3DS. So players are going to assume a role within the battles of Fódlan. This won't be all the time, but at parts, you can move around and interact with other characters and gather information. The game looked awesome, with great music and incredible 3D graphics, unlike anything we have seen in the series before.

The armies' moves are still closely tied to the movements of the characters.

The game doesn't have a specific release date yet, but it's planned for a release in the spring of 2019.
