Cyberpunk 2077 gets another 14 new screenshots

We got a chance to sit down with Peter Gelencser, the lead level designer on Cyberpunk 2077, and ask him his thoughts on the audience reaction.

To hear more about Cyberpunk 2077, keep your eyes glued to Game Revolution for new posts.

Pretty cool, eh? Cyberpunk 2077 was showcased quite a lot at this year's E3, so when it eventually gets released in 2019 we hope to see some sort of Ciri reference in their too!

Speaking of the character creation system the devs revealed that the game will boast a full-fledged character creation system, giving you the freedom to choose your gender, facial attributes and stuff. Cyberpunk 2077 is a narrative-driven, open world RPG set in the most vibrant and unsafe metropolis of the future: Night City.

While any information is good news, the lack of gameplay has left some players feeling frustrated that CD Projekt Red isn't being upfront with their information. First we learned that Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person game, which caused some backlash from fans who want a carbon copy of The Witcher 3's design - but it turns out, the third-person perspective will pop up from time to time. Each thing you do affects something, be it yourself or the world around you. Don't say we didn't warn you.

As far as exploration goes, CD Projekt Red has emphasized verticality with Cyberpunk 2077. If players aren't happy with their starting apartment, it sounds like they'll be able to use their "blood money" to invest in additional properties. Unlike Geralt in CD Projekt Red's best known game, The Witcher 3, V is entirely user-definable: you can make the character male or female, and customise their appearance extensively. As is the cyberpunk way, the city is run by corporations and crime.

Story-driven and action-packed, Cyberpunk 2077's cinematic plot was written to provide a rich and robust single-player experience. Rowley confirmed that there will be cars and motorbikes in the game for sure, leaving the door open for more vehicles to be revealed later down the line, but CD Projekt Red doesn't want players to rely on vehicles as they explore the six distinct districts of Night City. When it does release, it will be on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
