Clare, who split from Dec in 2003 after an 11 year relationship, took to Twitter to retweet a message sent to Lisa reading: "Love you doll - you'll be OK promise".

When a follower tweeted back: "If it's true I would have hoped out of respect to you that he didn't let you find out from the media", the makeup artist responded: "Nope".

Lisa, who had been in a relationship with Ant since 1994, went on to describe that Anne-Marie was a person she'd invited into her marital home and had once given her a job as their personal assistant.

In a social media rant on Sunday, she said Ms Corbett, also 42, was "my friend", and said she found out about the romance in news reports.

She also shared a fan tweet that said "so much for the girl code" and added, "exactly", thanked a few other fans and liked a bunch of supportive tweets. "Just how you guys did (heartbroken emoji)".

Express.co.uk has contacted the ITV star's management company, who Anne-Marie works for, asking for comment on her behalf but she has yet to speak out about the rumoured relationship.

A source told The Sun on Sunday that Corbett has been "his rock" over his hard year, saying: "He's had a tough time of it, but Anne-Marie has put a smile back on his face again".

A spokesman for Ant declined to comment when approached by The Sun.

Ant McPartlin was fined £86,000 and banned from driving for 20 months after pleading guilty to drink-driving back in April.

The separated mum-of-two has "put him back together again" after his struggle with addiction and a drink-driving incident, a source told The Sun.

"Knowing someone is there for him has brought him back from the brink - she's put him back together again. Both of them deserve it".
