First lady Melania Trump underwentkidney surgery Monday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center near Washington, DC, according to a statement from her office. He wrote about this in his Twitter, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the UNN.

"Our great First Lady is doing really well".

Earlier Tuesday, the president tweeted that she was "doing really well" and would be "leaving the hospital in 2 or 3 days". "They did a fantastic job, so thank you, and she sends her love".

US First Lady Melania Trump had surgery Monday for what aides called a "benign" kidney condition, and will remain in hospital for the rest of the week.

"This was a significant medical procedure and therefore they just want to keep an eye on her", she said.

The White House withheld additional information about the first lady's condition, citing her right to privacy.
