Swaraj in Myanmar to hold talks with countrys leadership

Sushma Swaraj Schools Distress Jammu and Kashmir Youth; Says, There is no Place Like 'Indian Occupied Kashmir'

The student, identified as Sheikh Ateek on Twitter asked EAM Swaraj for help with his passport which got damaged, however, Swaraj had to point out that since Ateek's profile says that his residence is "Indian Occupied Kashmir" which does not exist, she can not help.

"I'm from J&K doing medicine course here in Philippines, my passport got damaged, I applied for new one 1 month ago".

India on Wednesday sent its second relief consignment to Bangladesh to help tens of thousands of displaced, following a military crackdown. "Dear ma'am @SushmaSwaraj I greatly need your help".

Ateeq had asked Swaraj for help on April 5 on the social media platform. I need to get back to my home, India.

"Your profile says you are from "Indian occupied Kashmir".

People appreciated both of Swaraj's tweets. "@indembmanila", she wrote while tagging the official Twitter handle of the Indian embassy in Manila.

Following Swaraj's tweet, Ateek made the change to his profile description. About an hour later, Swaraj posted another tweet, this time instructing the Indian ambassador, Jaideep Mazumdar, in the Philippines to assist the "Indian national".

"I am happy you have corrected the profile".

Later, Ateeq apparently deleted his Twitter account as it could not be accessed. He said he required her help urgently to get the passport since he had to go home for a medical checkup.

There were some who said he had changed the profile "just to get his work done", while several others took nationalistic stances and berated him.
