Buhari returns to Nigeria following Medical Trip to London

The presidential jet that conveyed him from London landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja about 6.45pm.

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari is under Pressure to reveal the nature of his illness after he embarked on a fourth medical trip to London, United Kingdom.

President Buhari's health status has been of great concern to Nigerians as many see his regular medical trips as sign of major hindrance to his effective performance in office. "He can't travel for an official meeting to the U.S. and sneak into London to see his doctor, then tell Nigerians it was a technical stopover due to flight issues".

The President left Abuja on Tuesday, May 8 for the medical trip.

Buhari travelled to the United Kingdom on Tuesday and was expected to return on Saturday.

"On his return, the President's 2-day State Visit to Jigawa, postponed because of the APC Ward Congresses, will now take place 14th & 15th May", the president tweeted on Monday, May 7.

Recall that Musa Asake, the late general secretary of the association, had last week led protests against killings of innocent people across the country by herdsmen.
