Mourinho set to make changes against Watford

Mark Noble says there is no point lying about their 'tough' season

West Ham midfielder Mark Noble has moved to calm his on-field spat with Manchester United star Paul Pogba, insisting "what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch". However, a draw was enough to ensure a second-place finish for United, and now they will aim to finish their league season with a win over Watford on Sunday.

United will finish their 2017-18 Premier League campaign at home to Watford on Sunday afternoon.

In United's first game since legendary former manager Alex Ferguson had to have emergency surgery on a brain hemorrhage, the visiting fans showed their support to the 76-year-old Scot with persist chants of "we all love Alex Ferguson".

The tiresome encounter flared up in the closing stages as West Ham skipper Mark Noble clashed with Paul Pogba - the pair arguably lucky to only walk away with yellow cards.

After the game, neither David Moyes or Jose Mourinho saw the clash as anything of note, and while speaking to BBC Sport, both were quite happy to brush the incident aside as an occupational hazard. "This is a big club and there are big expectations from the supporters so they will need to improve".

Mourinho's side are now winless in their last two outings after suffering a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Brighton last Friday.

Adrian has been restored in the West Ham goal for the past three games in place of England global Joe Hart, and showed why with a hat-trick of fine saves.

Mourinho opted to start Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard up front against the Hammers, with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial benched. He's going to be even closer to me than he was as a player, so it's just an emotional moment because it's the end of the career of a fantastic player.

"Now they're up there challenging every year, like ourselves, Chelsea and Arsenal".

"For me it was a positive night, me and Luke Shaw had the opportunity to play and impress".

"A domestic league will certainly play Tuesday/Wednesday". I think they'll gear up for the FA Cup final with a comfortable win here, though.
