Today, Google begins rolling out an update to address a couple of those things. This double-tap gesture now prompts your notifications to be read aloud, but you can switch this to skip songs via your Pixel Buds' settings in the Google Assistant app on your phone.

Google is also allowing users to customize the double-tap action.

During I/O 2018, the Google app gained the ability to customize what notifications get sent to Assistant headphones.

Google just updated is Pixel Buds so that they respond to more gestures. You can still use a voice command to skip tracks, even with this new gesture enabled.

Triple tap: Pixel Buds can now be manually turned on or off by triple-tapping on the right earbud.

In an announcement on its blog, Google has revealed several new ways that users can interact with their Pixel Buds.

Lastly, Pixel Buds now work better when paired to multiple devices. For example, if you want to jump from your phone to computer, all you have to do is head into the Bluetooth menu on the device you want to connect to and choose the Pixel Buds. The update rolls out beginning today and should be available to most users by early next week.
