Trump calls 'slimeball' Comey 'worst Federal Bureau of Investigation director in history'

Donald Trump "lies constantly" and is "morally unfit" to be USA president, according to former Federal Bureau of Investigation boss James Comey.

Mr. Comey, whom President Trump fired, of course, came across in his first major interview, with George Stephanopoulos first broadcast Sunday on ABC, as the class do-gooder who sits in the front row warning the teacher that she's dismissing early.

Excerpts from Comey's book paint Trump as someone who is "unethical, and untethered to truth and institutional values", according to ABC.

Almost half of likely United States voters say former FBI Director James Comey must face criminal prosecution and also want a special prosecutor appointed to examine how the FBI handled its investigation of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's emails during the 2016 election, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports.

When asked about Trump's relationship with Putin, Comey said he was concerned with Trump because "he won't criticize Vladimir Putin even in private".

In true Trump fashion, the president punched back hard on Twitter unleashing a rare double tweet.calling Comey "a weak and untruthful slime ball".

In his testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee past year, Comey said he believes the President asked him to "drop any investigation of Flynn", a reference to former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

I think we owe it to each other to get off the couch and think about what unites us. Look around and you'll see headlines like "Comey calls Trump 'morally unfit to be president, '" "Comey compares Trump to mob boss", or "Comey: Trump treats women like they're 'meat'". "I can't trust him", Comey said of Rosenstein. "And bad things happen in forest fires", Comey said.

Trump's daughter and White House adviser Ivanka Trump has championed her father as someone who "is colorblind and gender-neutral". Hosko took particular exception with Comey's detailed description of President Donald Trump's appearance, including his likely use of tanning goggles, his hand size, and the length of his ties.

Despite Trump's attacks on Comey, whom the president fired, Comey doesn't consider himself someone dedicated to bringing the president down.

Comey has a tell-all book, A Higher Loyalty, due out on Tuesday.

"I'd be a insane person to make it up", he continued. He said, like others, he expected Clinton would win throughout the general election, saying he was seeing the same polling data that led many political experts to predict she would be the 45th president.

Trump fired Comey in May 2017, setting off a scramble at the Justice Department that led to the appointment of Mueller as special counsel overseeing the Russian Federation investigation.

But Comey's measured response to Stephanopoulos' question about impeachment is one his devoted readers should adopt. You know you're in unusual waters when the Republican National Committee dedicates a section of its web site to "Lyin Comey", a piling on of anti-Comey criticism, before the book is even officially released.

Former FBI Director James Comey says our president must be truthful - and Comey contends he is not able to do that.

But if you believe Comey, as I think most reasonable people would, then he has provided an important set of facts that have to be dealt with - by prosecutors, by Congress, and by the voters.
