It's no surprise that there's another Jumanji sequel headed our way.

Surpassing the 2002 Spider-Man's domestic box office take of $403.7 million, The Wrap reports that the psuedo-sequel to 1995's Jumanji has cleared the hurdle and grossed a bit over $403.7 million.

Dwayne Johnson posted the following video on Instagram announcing the news, which includes they are actively working on a sequel that was previously announced.

Thank you to all of the fans that went out and supported this movie....

As previously reported, a sequel to the hit movie is now in the works at Sony.

Johnson also stated that his movie-making goal is always to create something that will send the audience home happy.

Jumanji is coming back, baby.

The runaway hit was directed by Jake Kasdan, and produced by Matt Tolmach and William Teitler. The duo, who also worked on the upcoming Spider-Man spinoff movie, Venom, put the finishing touches on the Welcome to the Jungle script after it had been worked on by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

Director Jake Kasdan and writers Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg are returning for Jumanji 3 with Johnson confirmed for the sequel, reprising his role as Dr. Smolder Bravestone - most likely alongside his co-stars: Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black (as well as possibly Nick Jonas and the film's younger cast members).

The new Jumanji movie has made a whopping $950.8 million at the box office, and it even blew by Star Wars: The Last Jedi for consecutive weeks at the top of the box office.

We will keep you updated here on all the developments of the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle sequel as they occur!
