Gmail's next big feature will see emails self-destruct in 10…9…8…7…

Google loses ‘right to be forgotten’ case in the UK

The new features will include an automated reply for emails, Smart Reply, a snooze email function as well as offline support. You might have noticed that the AI from smart speakers or the phone assistant is not able to pick out your voice when another person is talking at the same time.

This "confidential mode" will be available around the time that Google launches the Gmail redesign, which will reportedly be within the next few weeks.

This means that users will be able to take advantage of Google apps such as Google Calendar, Keep or Tasks and have them right at their fingertips in Gmail via a sidebar.

Not sure if you have been feeling the same but many recently have voiced against google mail or Gmail design, which is getting clumsier with so many features - necessarily or unnecessarily - added to the web version.

Like other services that allow you to send disappearing messages, such as Snapchat and Instagram, Gmail's confidential mode doesn't prevent someone from taking a screenshot or photo of the email. This icon will not only allow you to set an expiration date of a sent email but there's also a "Require Passcode" option that you can select if you want the recipient to confirm their identity with a passcode sent via SMS.

The redesign will focus mainly on Gmail for web to make it look cleaner and user-friendly like its mobile interface.

According to a new report from The Verge, Google will also be introducing a new "Confidential Mode", which lets users stop recipients from forwarding certain emails.

'We're working on some major updates to Gmail (they're still in draft phase)', a Google spokesperson told MailOnline. The same features will be available for the regular Gmail users as well.

- It uses the latest version of Google's advanced compression algorithm‚ using up to 40% less data to display search results.

It is likely that a kind of trial run may be conducted before making the new design universal. Google has meanwhile kept mum about the new features, requesting for a bit more time to compose themselves before they share anything.
