Bank officials, woman arrested in CBSE paper leak case

According to the police the economics paper was leaked on 23 March—three days before the exam date—in Himachal Pradesh’s Una town and was shared on the Whats App by at least 40 groups

The Delhi Police Crime Branch on Thursday said the CBSE class 10 Maths question paper leak case has been solved after the arrest of the prime accused Rakesh Kumar Sharma.

Kumar, who taught Economics in DAV, Una, Himachal Pradesh, was arrested on April 7 in connection to paper leaks.

The question papers of class XII Economics and class X Mathematics exams held on March 26 and March 28 respectively, were leaked on Whatsapp.

Amit Sharma and Ashok Kumar worked at the DAV school as a clerk and a peon. However, there will no re-test for Class 10 Maths paper.

Claiming that it "triggered a scientific approach", the Board also told HC that the "general trend emerging out of random evaluation of Class X mathematics paper, on priority basis, did not indicate spikes or unusual patterns, giving any impression of passing of widespread benefits of alleged paper leak". She then shared them with her relatives in Delhi and Panchkula to help their children.

Police have clarified that so far, no monetary angle has come up as a motive for leaking either of the two papers.
