WWE Star Jeff Hardy Reportedly Arrested for DWI

Hardy was arrested in Concord, North Carolina on Saturday night in after a single auto accident. Reports said he was released later that evening. The police report notes that Hardy totaled his 2016 Cadillac CTS-V with an estimated $8,000 in damages.

The report also says Hardy ran off the road and struck about 105 feet of guardrail before spinning to the left and coming to rest in the middle of the northbound lane.

Hardy, who is 40 years old, was arrested at 10:20 pm on March 10, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported, citing the Cabarrus County Sherriff's Office.

The Raw superstar was picked up at approximately 10:20pm, then released little over an hour later. On top of this, Jeff has been told to appear in Cabarrus County Court on April 16th.

Jeff Hardy has been out of action for several months after undergoing surgery to fix a torn rotator cuff, but Hardy has been making headlines due to the fact that he was arrested over the weekend. He was recently cleared to return and was scheduled to begin training at the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando this month.

As a result of this, Hardy has been struck by a mandatory 30-day pre-trial annulment of his driving licence, during which he can not legally drive.

Although the details are not yet known for the latest run-in, it could potentially delay the former WWE champion's return to the spotlight.

Another report from TMZ revealed that Hardy submitted to a breath test which revealed that he was three times over the legal limit. As is standard in NC following a DWI arrest, Hardy's license have been suspended. Jeff Hardy has held the Intercontinental Championship four times and the European Championship once.
