Ravens Release Jeremy Maclin; Should Eagles Bring Him Back?

Maclin has not caught more than 45 balls or played in over 12 games in either of the past two seasons.

Adam Schefter, NFL analyst for ESPN, reports that the Baltimore Ravens have chose to release Maclin just one year into his contract, allowing the veteran to now try to find a third team in three seasons.

The Ravens have released veteran wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, as Baltimore continues to shake up that unit.

The veteran wideout's release comes shortly after the Ravens added wideouts, Ryan Grant and John Brown.

The NFL Network reported that the deal for Grant, 27, is for four years and $29 million with $14.5 million guaranteed, a surprisingly large offer for a player who has never had more than 600 yards receiving. In addition, Grant receives a $10 million signing bonus, per Ian Rapport.

Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome has placed a priority on improving the wide receiver position this offseason, but a tight salary cap hindered his pursuit of top-tier free agents Allen Robinson and Sammy Watkins.

Entering the first official day of National Football League free agency, who might the Ravens sign next?

However, new reports show the interest between Nelson and the Ravens aren't quite intimate with Nelson scheduled to visit three teams, per Adam Schefter, none which include the Ravens.
