Prince William to 'walk Meghan Markle up the aisle'

Harry and Meghan

And now it's been revealed that Meghan Markle could be accompanied by none other than Prince William when she does so.

Screams and shouts from the public greeted Meghan and Harry when they arrived and the American actress looked stylish in a dress and coat by Amanda Wakeley and hat by Stephen Jones.

Meghan will appear alongside the Queen at Westminster Abbey in the first "public acknowledgement" by the Queen of the USA actress.

We can only imagine how many royal loyalists will be celebrating the union of Prince Harry and Meghan, toasting to them with their speciality beer in hand, and it's going to be glorious.

The Duke of Edinburgh, who retired from public service past year, did not attend.

'There is a very special value in the insights we gain through the Commonwealth connection; shared inheritances help us overcome difference so that diversity is a cause for celebration rather than division.

Monday's Commonwealth service comes ahead of the 24th Commonwealth Heads of the Government Meeting which will be held in London in April.

Former One Direction band member Liam Payne will perform during the service today and the reflection will be given by Dr Andrew Bastawrous.

The couple also decide to take Charles (Harry Enfield) to America to meet Doria, Meghan's down-to-earth all-American mum.

The service, which is the largest annual inter-faith gathering in the United Kingdom, is held every year to celebrate the Queen's lifetime commitment to the Commonwealth as Head of its 53 countries. In addition to the Queen, nearly all of the core members of the Windsor family, including Prince Harry, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Sophie, the Countess of Wessex and more, were in attendance. Around 2,000 people sat in the congregation including Prime Minister Teresa May, senior politicians from across the United Kingdom and Commonwealth, and over 800 school children and young people. The theme of this year's gathering was "Towards a Common Future" to emphasise how the Commonwealth can address global challenges and work to create a better future for its 2.4 billion citizens.
