Like Google 'Posts' in Search results expand to musicians

However, any musician with a Knowledge Panel can now utilize Google Posts should they choose to do so.

When a user searches for a musician, Google automatically generates content like YouTube videos and biographical information. Googles Blog post featured the following artists: Lorde, Steve Aoki, Sia, Son Litte, Sofi Tukker, Shakira, and Kygo. It's another expansion of the Posts on Google feature that the company has been rolling out over the past few years that started with big companies and celebrities in 2016 and included local businesses last year.

Musicians can go to posts.google.com and get verified. Simply perform a Google search and you can see the artists update in a sort of Twitter-feed kind of format.

The feature is live today for any musicians whose search result includes a Knowledge Panel already.

"You can easily tell if the updates are from a verified musician - posts will be marked with a blue checkmark next to their name".

Updates from musicians will appear within their respective Knowledge Panel, which typically shows up when the artist's name is searched for specifically.
