Hillary Clinton: Trump has 'affinity for dictators'

Hillary Clinton joked during a weekend appearance in India that American voters do not deserve President Donald Trump.

She also addressed her failed 2016 presidential campaign, saying that if "people were looking for a reality TV campaign, maybe I should have given them more entertainment". "And his whole campaign 'Make America Great Again, ' was looking backwards".

Towards the end of the event, Clinton was asked whether she will run for president again.

This isn't the first time she's insulted Trump supporters, in 2016, she called her opponents supporters "deplorables", a comment that has dogged her since. "I win the coast, I win, you know, IL and Minnesota, places like that".

Clinton took a bitter tone as she talked about the electoral map and the various regions of the United States that voted for her and Trump.

"'You know you didn't like black people getting rights", Clinton said.

"He does have a pre-existing attitude of favorability toward these dictators, but I think it's more than that with Putin and Russian Federation", she added.

"What happened in my election, I was on the way to winning white women until former Director of the FBI Jim Comey dropped that ill-advised letter; then my numbers went down", she added.

She made clear later in the discussion that she did not know where the special counsel's investigation into Russian election meddling and possible coordination with Trump's team is likely to lead.

Clinton said there is "the phenomenon of disappointment" about economic outcomes, particularly after the 2008 financial crisis, one of three main areas where she said she sees Americans' fears play out.

"Trump does have quite an affinity for dictators", Clinton said.
