Epic didn't pay Drake or Ninja for their record-setting stream

Fortnite on iOS

Epic detailed the mobile version of the game in a short blog post today. National Football League rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster, rapper Travis Scott, and Drake himself joined a well-known (and apparently well-connected) gamer by the name of Ninja for an evening of battle royale fun, and more than 600,000 viewers tuned in to watch.

Since the release of the free Battle Royale mode, Fortnite has become something of a phenomenon in the last few months, with a huge number of players downloading and enjoying the game.

Popular live streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins came across a hilarious bug in Fortnite Battle Royale, where an opponent appeared much smaller than the normal character model wearing a leprechaun outfit - and Epic Games confirmed it is not intentional.

The game has struck peak popularity as the word "Fortnite" beats even the likes of "Bitcoin" in google searches. Epic Games says new invites will be sent out as the servers can handle more players. Fortnite was the first to reach consoles, and was able to get itself on 75 millions PS4s while PUBG couldn't because sony doesn't have an early access program. The game, now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Mac and Xbox One, is one of the hottest things of 2018 and it isn't showing any signs of slowing down.

The game is so popular now that top streamers such as Ninja and Shroud are playing the game. If you are having problems with the game, please see the Epic Games' status page for latest information.
