Dr Haseeb Drabu Sacked from jammu and Kashmir State Cabinet

The PHD Chamber hosts one of its Signature Event for the international Community, Ambassadors Meet on the theme opted Kashmir The Way Forward

Two days after state Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu said "Kashmir should not be seen as a political problem", his party today hit out at him saying that J&K was a political problem and its resolution formed the PDP's core agenda.

"Don't see Jammu and Kashmir as a conflict state and a political issue, it is a society which has social issues right now. We are trying to find our own space and going through a process which other countries are also going through". "It is in this we seek your help", he had said.

Mir said if Drabu does not retract the statement, action would be taken against him.

The DFP in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the youth like Fazli, Owais and Sofi are rendering their precious lives for Kashmir cause, but Indian agents like Haseeb Drabu are busy in maligning these sacrifices by refusing the very historical facts about the Kashmir dispute.

In 2014, he formally joined the PDP and successfully contested the state elections on the party ticket from his home constituency Rajpora.

"People should introspect over the nature and origins of the situation and how the issues can be resolved", Drabu had said during an event themed "Kashmir: The way forward'".

Meanwhile, official handle of PDP on twitter reacted on the statement and said, " Party recognizes J&K as a political issue & ever since its emergence has relentlessly been pursuing its resolution through reconciliation & dialogue.

The Opposition National Conference criticised Drabu's comments and asked the ruling party to explain his statements, Rising Kashmir reported. "We had served a show-cause notice to Drabu Sunday to which he did not reply", a senior PDP minister told ThePrint.
