It was felt around the west of England and Wales.

PEOPLE across Wiltshire have felt the aftershocks of an natural disaster which hit a welsh town this afternoon.

'The last one I experienced was in the 1980s when I lived in Pembrokeshire'.

'Event epicentre approx 20km NNE of Swansea, with 4.4 magnitude at a depth of 7.4km'. "This is the largest natural disaster in mainland United Kingdom since the 5.2 magnitude Market Rasen quake in 2008".

Tina Anton wrote on Twitter: "Just had a tremor as in quake in Cornwall!"

The 21-year-old said: "We heard the noises before we felt the rumble, and then the house shook for a couple of seconds before it stopped".

The BGS is asking residents to inform them if they felt the tremor by completing a survey.

Gemma Harrison in Kidderminster said her "cabinets were shaking".

People across south Wales and south west England said they felt what they thought was an natural disaster this afternoon.
