Trump denies describing certain nations as 's***hole countries'

U.S. President Donald Trump listens during a meeting with lawmakers on immigration policy in the Cabinet Room of the White House in Washington on Tuesday

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham of SC is being praised by Democrats for standing up to president Donald Trump after the latter allegedly referred to Haiti and several African nations as "shithole countries" during an Oval Office immigration meeting.

As he signed the proclamation and shook hands with dignitaries, the president ignored reporters' questions regarding comments he made during a White House meeting on immigration Thursday. Trump reportedly said. "Take them out".

Durbin attended an event in Chicago Friday and then held a press conference on the president's comments afterward.

Most of Maine's congressional delegation has condemned President Trump's reported description of Haiti, El Salvador and several African nations as "shithole" countries.

Hillary Clinton has joined the roiling condemnation of Donald Trump and his controversial remarks about Haiti and some African nations, calling the president's views "ignorant" and "racist".

As Fredericks was taken offscreen, Lemon said: "I was going to let him speak, until you doubly insulted me".

"Shithole was the exact word used once not twice but repeatedly", Mr Durbin was quoted to have said.

The White House did not initially deny the remarks but Trump later denied using the controversial words in a tweet.

"We sent guidance to our folks and told them that we must reiterate that we have great respect for the people of Africa and all nations, and our commitment remains strong", he said. Made up by Dems.

After reading out loud that more than 15,000 people had arrived from Haiti, Trump reportedly said they "all have AIDS".

The United Nations (UN) in a strongly-worded statement said the U.S. president's remark was purely racist, while the Vatican has described it as offensive. Senator Durbin said that when the discussion turned to Haiti, Trump questioned why Haitians should be given specific consideration. "I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians", the president wrote later, adding that he "probably should record future meetings - unfortunately, no trust!" In another tweet, denied saying anything derogatory about Haitians. People on Twitter were quick to condemn the president's remarks while pointing out Norwegians may not want to come to the United States.

U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter called Trump's comments unacceptable. When it comes to immigration reform and securing our borders, we have urgent and serious needs to address and many critical policies to debate.

The Trump administration has been discussing the possibility of a deal on the immigration status of hundreds of thousands of young immigrants under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, as well as increased security at the border.
