Tiffany Haddish Delivered the Greatest Awards Speech You'll Ever See Last Night

Drink up! She was gulping down a cocktail as she took a break from her speech

The Girls Trip star completely took over the awards show at celebrity hotspot Tao Downtown, winning Best Supporting Actress for her role as Dina in the comedy.

She said: 'If you say something, thank you.

"I'm glad you see me, because it's been so many years when nobody saw me", she continued. "But they coming. Cause I kicked the fucking door open". And despite Jada Pinkett Smith previously blasting critics who snubbed the film, Tiffany thanked critics who bothered to see the film for their opinions.

Haddish's epic speech lasted for 18 minutes, and she continued to bring on the inspirational tidbits and plenty of laughs as she talked about the business, thanked her parents and friends who supported her, and more. Haddish then explained the premise of a particularly vengeful Girls Trip scene, which was ultimately cut from the movie due to worries that it would be executed by viewers. If all goes well over the next two months, this won't be the last time we hear from them this awards season, given the fact that Lady Bird and Call Me By Your Name are two of the best films of the year.

Starting with an appreciative nod to the calligraphy on her award certificate, Haddish wound her way through a speech that was grateful, quirky, and genuinely wise, but at all times was also wildly amusing.

Be happy: "If you're not happy, change your thought patterns. Nobody's in control of your emotions but you".

"That might have been too much information, but I don't care".

A lot of things made it into the movie that I didn't ever think would make it into the movie, but can I share one scene with y'all that I really wanted to make it into the movie? "The only critics I knew before this were Siskel and Ebert and when they passed I was like 'Oh well'".
