Ticket typo invites guests to Trump's 'State of the Union'

Donald Trump's misspellings have become legendary - "covfefe", anyone? - but a glaring typo on tickets for the president's State of the Union speech Tuesday has some lawmakers crying for spell check. "#SOTUniom", tweeted House Democrat Raul Grijalva, referring to Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, who has advocated policies that critics say undermine the public education system.

Programming note: Watch the State of the Union address on Tuesday wherever you are: on TV, desktop, mobile devices, apps, CNNgo and more.

It seems that tickets set to be labeled the event as the "State of the Uniom", causing a delay in their distribution.

"There was a misprint on the ticket", a Sergeant at Arms spokesman said.

Sure, the Trump White House has had its share of spelling and grammatical errors in the past, but this typo is actually the fault of the House sergeant at arms' office, which is responsible for printing the tickets, according to Politico. A correction was immediately made and all but about a dozen tickets have been exchanged.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio tweeted out a photo of the original ticket printed for guests, writing that he's looking forward to the "State of the Uniom!"

While the minor error may seem trivial on the surface, it truly speaks volumes about the carelessness the entire administration has displayed throughout the a year ago of Trump's presidency.
