Theresa May says 'I'm no quitter' as she prepares Cabinet reshuffle

MANCHESTER ENGLAND- OCTOBER 03 Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson delivers his keynote speech on day three of the annual Conservative Party conference

Meanwhile health minister Jeremy Hunt convinced May at the last minute to scrap plans to move him to the business department, according to media reports.

This has confirmed this Sunday in a television interview, which has reiterated its intention to remain in office until next election, despite a half-year disastrous, since it lost its absolute majority in June, after a disastrous electoral advancement.

"That reign of Conservative Party chairman lasted about 37 seconds", noted Sky News's Faisal Islam.

May has been forced to make changes to her top team following the resignation last month of Damian Green as first secretary of state after he admitted to lying about the alleged discovery of pornographic images on his Commons computer during a police raid.

It was then revealed shortly after that Brandon Lewis, the current immigration minister, will become party chairman and attend Cabinet meetings as a "Minister without Portfolio".

Britain is due to exit the bloc in March 2019, and although it reached agreement on the key separation issues in December, the toughest talks on the future relationship have yet to begin.

The reorganization will extend through Tuesday, when there could be a clutch of new mid-ranking ministers, commentators said.

Education Secretary Justine Greening became the fourth minister to leave the Cabinet since November 2017, after resisting a request to move to the welfare and pensions ministry.

Farage asked for the meeting after Barnier met with anti-Brexit British politicians previous year, including Andrew Adonis, from the opposition Labour party, who had advised May on Brexit until he resigned from his post in December in protest at her appeasement of hard eurosceptics.

United Kingdom prime minister Theresa May will switch up her Cabinet on Monday, Downing Street has confirmed.

While viewed as a chance at a fresh start, the reshuffle brings risks of upsetting the delicate balance of eurosceptic and pro-European ministers.

Johnson, a leading Brexit supporter, kept his job at the foreign office, despite challenging May's strategy a year ago, as did fellow eurosceptic Liam Fox, the worldwide trade minister.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, the Brexit Secretary said he would urge the European Union to drop measures and guidance that could require United Kingdom companies to relocate to Europe or risk contracts being terminated in the event of no deal.

Ms May was reportedly set to create a new "no-deal" cabinet post on Monday with a responsibility to prepare for a possible breakdown in the talks.

After a hard start when her party had to delete a tweet naming the wrong person as its new chairman, May went on to promote more women, black and younger lawmakers to challenge critics who call the Conservatives "male, pale and stale".

The EU has defended its right to make plans for a "no-deal" Brexit, amid United Kingdom fears firms may lose out as a result. David Lidington, the justice secretary, replaced Green on Monday but was not given Green's title of first secretary of state.

Others returning to the backbenches included Scarborough and Whitby MP Robert Goodwill, who loses his job as minister for children and families, Philip Dunne (Ludlow), who is removed as health minister, and John Hayes (South Holland and The Deepings), who is leaving the Department for Transport.
